About us

For more than a quarter of a century, we at Zinn Cycles have been working to make cycling more enjoyable for our customers, and that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do. We express it by building custom bikes that fit great, perform well, and are thoroughly thought-out for their owners’ needs. And it does not stop with the frames; our custom cranks and our forks are specifically designed for our customers, and the components we select and how we set them up are tailored for them as well.

From the beginning, cyclists have come to Lennard Zinn to get a great custom built bicycle that is guaranteed to fit. Zinn Cycles has always provided high quality cycling products to meet and exceed the needs of our customers. Our big and tall bike selection, along with our custom long cranks, has put us in the forefront of the bicycle industry for taller cyclists. With our custom women’s bike lineup and custom short cranks, no other bicycle company can fit as wide a range of people that we can. We don’t just build women’s bikes and tall bikes though. Our custom bikes will greatly benefit riders of any size, shape, and riding style.

Zinn Cycles has a long tradition of innovation. We design our bikes and components from years of experience. Our Full Suspension mountain bikes are designed and tested right here in Colorado, and we are constantly innovating and improving the designs. We are one of the only bicycle companies that offer full suspension bikes with Rohloff Hubs. The Zinn World Travel bikes are the most thought out high performance travel bikes in the world, and our custom road bikes will perform for a lifetime.

  1. Jason Johanning Says:

Have a racing wheel question: I have been out of racing 20 years but am finally ready to pick up the challenge again (read I started eating right and bought a serious indoor trainer).

I have a set of 10 year old 32 spoke Open Pro Mavic’s with Dura Ace hubs that have never been trued or rebuilt. They still roll great and on downhills of group rides I usually pass other riders so I think they still roll very well.

2 questions: 1. Should I look at the fancy aero/carbon wheels? 2. If no, should I have the hubs repacked?

Thanks for the great info in your blog!

    • i think the wheels you have will be okay, unless you are over 225 lbs. definitely have the hub bearings re packed. Otherwise, go for it, then look at the carbon wheels when you are done with the open pros.
